Singapore, 11 April 2025 – The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore, together with the Ministry of Trade, and fully supported by Bank Indonesia and Bank BRI, successfully participated in the Food and Hotel Asia (FHA) 2025 exhibition at the Singapore Expo, Singapore on 8-11 April 2025. In this international food and beverage product exhibition, the food and beverage products exhibited by the Indonesian Pavilion were successfully visited by more than 5.714 visitors, and recorded 7 export worth USD 32.2 million or around IDR 542 billion, for cocoa and chocolate products, honey, organic spice products, and various other food and beverage products.

In addition to the purchase contracts in question, there were dozens of potential incoming transactions estimated to reach USD 11.5 million or almost IDR 194 billion for instant noodle products, organic snacks, various spices, and other food and beverage products. The Indonesian Pavilion featured the largest number of participants throughout Indonesia’s participation, namely 35 MSME-scale producer and export companies, originating from the food and beverage, spice and agricultural product sectors.

 

All of these MSMEs are the result of coaching from the Ministry of Trade, Bank Indonesia, and BRI. Apart from these MSMEs, there are also 13 medium and large-scale Indonesian companies that are also participating in the 2025 FHA exhibition, including Wings Group, Manohara, Savoria, Solo Murni, and many more.

 

The Indonesian Pavilion was opened by the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore, Suryo Pratomo, Head of the Bank Indonesia Singapore Office, and Head of the BRI Singapore Office. In addition, the opening was also attended by the CEO of Informa, as the organizer of the 2025 FHA exhibition, as well as representatives from several importers and Singaporean companies. In his opening remarks, the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore said that Indonesia’s participation in the 2025 FHA exhibition was a proud collaboration between the Government, BUMN Banking, Bank Indonesia and the private sector, underlining the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting Indonesian product exports. Furthermore, the Indonesian Ambassador stated that in the midst of the global trade situation, it is important for the Government and national banking to strengthen promotions for MSME trade scale exporters because assistance for MSMEs must run optimally starting from coaching, financing to promotion to the global export market.

 

The FHA exhibition itself is one of the largest international food and beverage product exhibitions in the world, with participants from 61 (sixty-one) countries, and attended by more than 73.000 visitors from the industrial, importer, and manufacturing sectors.

The Indonesian Trade Attaché in Singapore, Billy Anugrah, also said that food and beverage products are one of the main backbones of the Indonesian industry, and have also supported Indonesian exports for the past 5 years. The export trend of Indonesian food and beverage products continues to show positive performance with a growth of 10.55% YoY in 2024, and even for the Singapore market, it grew 62.3% YoY. Furthermore, the Trade Attaché also encourages consistent and sustainable promotional efforts, through strengthening cooperation with Banking, BUMN and other sectors synergistically to bring the Indonesian food and beverage industry to penetrate regional and global markets.

The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore together with the Ministry of Trade will continue to provide access for Indonesian exporters, especially MSMEs, to get the opportunity to promote their products in the global export market through synergistic collaboration with all stakeholders, in order to create more Indonesian MSMEs that are ready to compete in the global export market.***
